Ann B. Davis, famously known as "Schultzy" from her two-time Emmy Award-winning role as Alice Nelson on the classic sitcom The Brady Bunch, passed away on June 1, 2014, at the age of 88. Born in 1926 in Schenectady, NY, she studied at the University of Michigan before becoming an actress on Broadway. Her turn as secretary Schultzy on The Bob Cummings Show earned her an Emmy in 1958. Throughout the 1960s, Davis appeared in many guest roles on several television show, including My Three Sons, Bachelor Father, and I Dream of Jeannie. When the Brady Bunch premiered in 1969, Davis' role as housekeeper Alice Nelson, soon captured the hearts of viewers. The show aired for five seasons until 1974. In 1976, Davis won her second Emmy for her role as Alice Nelson on The Brady Bunch Hour. Through the rest of the 70's, Davis made several appearances in variety shows and commercials. In 1989, Davis joined the cast of The Brady Brides, a made-for-TV movie. She then went on to do two more films in the 90's and made a guest appearance on ABC's The Drew Carey Show in 2001. Davis was twice nominated for an Emmy Award for her memorable and beloved comedic performances. She will be remembered for her comedic timing, her loyalty to her fans, and her iconic Alice Nelson role.
