Antonin Scalia, an influential legal figure in the United States, passed away on 13th February 2016 at the age of 79. Scalia was born in 1936 in Trenton, New Jersey and later attended Harvard Law School in 1961. Throughout his career, Scalia was a prominent figure in American politics and the legal system. After working as a professor at the University of Virginia School of Law, Scalia held a number of crafts ranging from a federal judge to an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. In the Supreme Court, Scalia championed conservative principles such as originalism and textualism. He wrote notable opinions that influenced his followers and became a nationally recognized legal figure. His influence will continue to be remembered. He is survived by his wife, nine children and 28 grandchildren.
