Sika Anoa'i, a respected member of her community and a cherished friend and family member, passed away on June 25, 2024 at the age of 79. Born on August 11, 1944, Sika lived a full and adventurous life. She was born and raised in a small village in Samoa, and at a young age, she moved to the United States to pursue her education and career. Sika was a dedicated nurse, serving her community for over 40 years before retiring in 2009. Her compassion, kindness, and skill were invaluable to her patients, and she was highly regarded by her colleagues. In addition to her career, Sika was also a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her family and always put them first, instilling in them the values of hard work, determination, and resilience. Sika had a passion for gardening, and her beautiful flower garden was a source of joy and pride for her. She also enjoyed cooking traditional Samoan dishes for her family and friends, always bringing people together with her delicious food and warm hospitality. Sika will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and love will live on through her family and the lives she touched. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tuilaepa, her three children, and eight grandchildren. A private ceremony will be held in her memory. She will be remembered and honored by all those who loved her.
