It is with great sadness that Bo Hopkins (June 2, 1937 - May 28, 2022) passed away at the age of 84 after a life full of achievements and memorable moments. Bo was born in Greenville, South Carolina, and began his illustrious career in the mid 1950s. During his lifetime he established himself as an especially versatile and talented actor, appearing in numerous feature films such as American Graffiti (1973), White Lightning (1973), The Choirboys (1977), and Urban Cowboy (1980). He also forged a successful television career, appearing in shows such as The Rockford Files, The Dukes of Hazzard, and Dallas. Bo Hopkins had an impressive and varied career, appearing in over 50 feature films and more than a dozen television shows. Bo was also the recipient of both the Golden Globe for New Star of the Year in 1974 and the BSOF Oscar Award in 1982. Bo Hopkins enjoyed life immensely and was always willing to help those in need. He was known to be generous and always had an unwavering sense of justice, values that he carried deeply in his heart. He was a loyal friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
