Bruce Paltrow (1943 - 2002) passed away peacefully on October 3rd, 2002, at the age of 58. Bruce was born in Brooklyn, New York, son of Murray and Dorothy (Kantrowitz) Paltrow. He attended New York University, graduating in 1964. After college, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television and film production. Throughout his career, Bruce had credits both on and off screen. He produced and directed both television and feature films, such as Duets (2000), View from the Top (2003), A Little Inside (1989) and St. Elsewhere (1982-1988). Bruce was the executive producer of television series such as The White Shadow (1978-1981), Brooklyn Bridge (1991-1993) and Flesh 'n' Blood (1991-1992). Most notably, he received a Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe Award in 1980 for Quality of Life, an original movie made for television. Bruce touched many lives and was a beloved father, grandfather, son and brother. He is survived by his children, Gwyneth and Apple; granddaughter, Iris; mother, Dorothy; and brothers, Jon and James. He will be remembered for his dedication to his career, and his care and compassion he provided to all family and friends.
