Bud Spencer, who was known for his film roles in giallo, western and comedy films, passed away peacefully on 27 June 2016. Born Carlo Pedersoli on October 31st, 1929, he had a career spanning over 50 years of acting and producing. He was best known for his roles as the boxer, Giuseppe 'Piedone' Fottuti, in the "Piedone" film series, as well as his comedic roles alongside Terence Hill in a number of popular films including "They Call Me Trinity" (1970), "Trinity Is Still My Name" (1971), "Watch Out, We're Mad" (1974) and "Double Trouble" (1984). Along with his acting work, Spencer was a competitive swimmer, holding several national records in Italy. Spencer is survived by his wife and two children. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his fans and friends.
