On February 22, 1999, Carlos Hathcock passed away at the age of 56. Hathcock was a decorated Marine and renowned sniper. He signed up for military service in his teens and served proudly for more than two decades. He was many times decorated, including for his sharpshooting distance of 2,500 yards during the Vietnam War. Hathcock was also known for his 91 confirmed kills during the same war. Later in life, he continued to honorably serve his country in the Special Operations Command. Hathcock will be remembered for his numerous contributions to the military. He was known for his skill and prowess, and his legacy will help ensure that his memory lives on in the future.
