Cesar Romero, beloved actor, died on January 1st, 1994 in Santa Monica, California at the age of 86. Romero was born February 15, 1907 in New York City, and began acting at an early age, appearing in numerous Broadway plays, films and television shows. He was perhaps best remembered for his portrayal of the Joker in the 1966 "Batman" television series, for which he won a Golden Apple Award. Romero had a long and successful career in Hollywood, appearing in dozens of films over the course of his lifetime including “Adventures of Don Juan”, “Cruising Paradise” and “The Cocoanuts”. His television credits included “F Troop”, “The Munsters” and “Sherlock Holmes in New York”. Romero is survived by his four children, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
