With great sadness Douglas C. Kenney, aged 32, passed away on 1980-08-27. Douglas was a screenwriter and actor, best known for co-writing National Lampoon's Animal House, the 1978 comedy film, and co-founding the satire magazine National Lampoon. He also wrote for Saturday Night Live in the show's first season, as well as Caddyshack and Animal House's sequel, National Lampoon's Vacation. Douglas was widely seen as a groundbreaking humorist and his influence can still be felt in modern comedy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Douglas' wit, intelligence, and sense of humor will be remembered and cherished forever.
