British singer Dusty Springfield, best known for her hits "I Only Wanna Be with You" and "Son of a Preacher Man", died on 1999-03-02. She was 59 years old. Springfield had battled cancer in the past, and she succumbed to the disease again in 1999. She is survived by her three children.
