It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of beloved singer/actress/television host Eydie Gormé. She died on August 10, 2013 at the age of 84. Gormé was a multi-talented entertainer, whom audiences had been enjoying since her teenage years. After making her professional debut as part of the vocal group the Three Rays, she made the leap to a solo career and achieved great success with singles like "Too Close For Comfort" and "What Did I Have That I Don't Have?" Her success as a vocalist only continued to grow, and her performances received many honors, including three Grammy awards. In addition to her singing career, Gormé also had roles in Broadway musicals, made her presence know on TV show appearances, and headlined several of her own shows. But more than anything else, she will be remembered for her partnership with Steve Lawrence, whom she married in 1957. Together, they performed as the iconic singing duo Steve and Eydie, headlining venues like Las Vegas and entertaining millions of fans. Eydie Gormé was a truly talented individual who will be remembered fondly for many years to come. She will be dearly missed.
