It is with deep sadness that the family of Geoffrey Lewis announce his passing on April 7, 2015 from natural causes. He was 79. Geoffrey was born in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Brown University with a degree in History and Political Science. He had a long career in government, working as a research analyst for the Office of Economic Opportunity, the U.S. Department of Defense, and various other agencies. Geoffrey was a passionate advocate for social justice, and he spent much of his career pushing for progressive economic change. He was a tireless advocate for the disadvantaged and a strong supporter of environmental causes. He will be remembered and loved by his surviving son and daughter, their families, and all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed. A private ceremony has been planned to memorialize Geoffrey. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice and that you take time to remember his legacy, in your thoughts and in your actions.
