Under his leadership, the band released five studio albums and achieved several hits including “Take It Easy”, “Peaceful Easy Feeling”, “Tequila Sunrise” and “Take it to the Limit”, many of which were co-written by Frey himself. His most successful single as a solo artist was “The Heat Is On” from the soundtrack of the 1984 movie Beverly Hills Cop. Frey was a two-time Grammy winner, and he was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 as a member of the Eagles. Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one’s head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no to-morrow. To forget time, to forget life, to be at peace. Oscar Wilde
