Helen Keller, a renowned figure well-known for her fearlessness and activism, passed away on June 1st, 1968 at the age of 87. Keller overcame many obstacles during her life. Born blind and deaf, she paved the way for disability rights by becoming one of the first deaf-blind people to graduate college. After receiving her degree, she worked tirelessly to further influence public perception of disability. Keller travelled the world, providing encouragement and insight, lectured in numerous countries, and penned 12 books in her lifetime. Keller is remembered as a brave and strong-willed individual who championed for those with disabilities and other causes. She had a profound impact on culture and society, and remains a source of inspiration for readers, activists, and those with disabilities. Keller will be fondly remembered and her work and advocacy will continue to be celebrated.
