On September 3rd, 2012, Sun Myung Moon passed away at the age of 92. Born in 1920 in Pyongyang, Korea, Moon went on to have an extensive career. He attended school in both Korea and Japan. In 1954, he founded the Unification Church which was dedicated to the process of unification of thought-system and religion internationally. At the end of his career, Moon is best remembered for focusing his life’s work on strengthening global peace amongst people of all backgrounds and beliefs. He was respected for his effort to bring harmony to the world through his various business and philanthropic endeavors. Moon leaves behind a legacy of understanding and faith. He will be remembered by millions of people around the world for his commitment to international peace and religious acceptance.
