Jack Hemingway (1923-2000) died at the age of 77 on December 1, 2000. Jack Hemingway was born on October 10, 1923, in Toronto, Canada, to Ernest Hemingway and Hadley Richardson. He grew up in Haiti, England, and Montana and attended Kent School. In his adult life, he was an ambulance driver for the Red Cross in World War II, a big game hunter and an outdoorsman. He was also active in the conservation of wild game and worked as a guide for reservations such as the Yellowstone National Park. Jack Hemingway was an outdoorsman of great skill, a wonderful husband, and a loving father of three. His is survived by his wife Byra Puckett Hemingway, daughters Mariel and Margaux, and two grandchildren. He will be remembered for his passion and love of the outdoors and nature, and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
