Passed away on November 18, 2002 at the age of 74, James Harrison Coburn III was a beloved actor from Los Angeles, California. Acclaimed for his performances in classics such as The Magnificent Seven, Charade, The Americanization of Emily, and Maverick, Coburn won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Affliction, and a Golden Globe for his part in The Nutty Professor. He also appeared in television series, including two episodes of The Simpsons, and starred in six westerns with Charles Bronson. He was an avid race car driver, and was known for his signature moustache. His larger than life personality was cherished by many. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Paula, and two children.
