James Ransone, a talented actor and musician, passed away on December 19, 2025 at the age of 46. He leaves behind a legacy of memorable performances on both the big and small screen. Born on June 2, 1979, in Baltimore, Maryland, Ransone discovered his love for acting at a young age. He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in writing and performing. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. Ransone's dedication and hard work paid off when he landed his first major role in the hit HBO series "The Wire." This led to numerous other television roles, including a recurring role on the popular show "Treme." He also made appearances in several films such as "Sinister," "Red Hook Summer," and "First Man." Known for his versatility, Ransone was not limited to acting. He was also a talented musician, playing guitar and drums in various bands throughout his career. Aside from his professional accomplishments, Ransone was also a beloved husband and father. He is survived by his wife and two children. James Ransone will be remembered for his remarkable talent and contributions to the entertainment industry. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and fans.
