He dedicated his life to service as a soldier and officer in World War II, rising to the rank of Colonel. After the war, he was sentenced for his role in war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by troops under his command. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Joachim was known for his service and dedication to his country, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
