Katie Smith (1907 - 1986), beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on June 17th, 1986 at the age of 79. She was born in 1907 and is survived by her two adult sons and their families. Throughout her life, Katie demonstrated her strength as a resilient woman, raising her sons on her own. Her sons fondly remember her home-cooked meals and contagious laugh. She had a passion for reading and an admiration of nature, especially the birds she watched during her walks in the park. Katie was a devoted church member and loved playing board games with her family. In her last years, Katie was known for her gentle touch with flowers and her ability to turn any awkward situation into an opportunity to make someone's day with a joke. Katie was a joy to be around and she will be deeply missed. Our condolences go out to her family during this difficult time.
