Katharine, Duchess of Kent, passed away on September 4th, 2025 at the age of 92. She was born on February 22nd, 1933 in Hertfordshire, England, to her parents, Sir William and Lady Mary Cambridge. The Duchess led a life of service to both her country and the royal family. She was a patron of numerous charities and organizations, and dedicated much of her time to supporting causes such as education, healthcare, and the arts. In 1961, she married Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, and they had three children together, George Windsor, Earl of St Andrews, Lady Helen Windsor, and Lord Nicholas Windsor. Her marriage to the Duke of Kent brought her into the royal family, and she dutifully fulfilled her duties as a member of the House of Windsor. Throughout her life, the Duchess was known for her grace, kindness, and unwavering public service. She was a beloved figure in the royal family and will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. The Duchess is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren, as well as her extended family and friends. Her passing is a loss for the entire nation, and she will be greatly missed. In accordance with her wishes, the Duchess will be laid to rest in a private ceremony. Her legacy of service and dedication will continue to live on, and she will forever hold a special place in the hearts of the people.
