Leon Czolgosz, a resident of Buffalo, New York who was born on 1873-05-05 00:00:00 UTC in Detroit, Michigan, died at the age of 28 on 1901-10-29 00:00:00 UTC. A politically active individual, Leon Czolgosz was best known for his assassination of U.S. President William McKinley at the Pan-American Exposition on 1901-09-06 00:00:00 UTC. Leon Czolgosz believed in Anarchism, frequently attended anarchist lectures in Chicago and identified as an anarchist. After his story began to unravel, Leon Czolgosz was found guilty of the assassination and sentenced to death. He was executed by electric chair in Auburn Prison in Auburn, New York on 1901-10-29 00:00:00 UTC. Leon Czolgosz will long be remembered for his infamous actions.
