Leonarda Cianciulli passed away on October 15, 1970, at the age of 76. She was born on April 26, 1894. Leonarda was an Italian woman born in Montella, Italy who became widely known as the “Soap-Maker of Correggio”. She was a devoted Catholic and a mother of three. She is remembered for her philanthropy and deep spiritual beliefs. Following her death, Leonarda was buried in the Montale cemetery in Reggio Emilia, Italy. She is survived by her beloved husband and children. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
