On February 7th, 2020, Li Wenliang, age 33, passed away. Dr. Li was born in Wuhan, China, in 1986. He had a distinguished career working as an ophthalmology physician at the Wuhan Central Hospital. He was respected by colleagues for his work in the field, and was at the forefront of a recent health care initiative. Never wavering in his work, Dr. Li was responsible for several prominent papers and worked diligently until the time of his passing. He was a great leader and mentor to the many colleagues and students he encountered throughout his career. Dr. Li's friends and family would like to remember him for his enthusiasm, courage and dedication. He will be greatly missed.
