It is with deep sadness that the family of Mark R. Hughes announces his passing on May 21, 2000 at the age of 44. Mark was born in 1955 and grew up in Los Angeles, California. Mark was a passionate philanthropist and entrepreneur. After a successful career in businesses such as Herbalife International and QuickTrip, he reminded a successful entrepreneur. He was active in philanthropic work, including efforts to address child poverty, provide health care and nutrition in the U.S. and abroad, and other service efforts. His legacy will carry on with the Mark Hughes Foundation, a nonprofit he established to support charitable organizations. Mark was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking and camping. He shared this love of nature with his wife and children and they made sure to spend time exploring nature every chance they got. Mark was a devoted husband and loving father. He is survived by his wife and four children. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
