Matthew McGrory (1973-2005) passed away on August 9, 2005 at the age of 32. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. Matthew was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania in 1973. A talented entertainer, he began acting in 1997 when he landed roles in television shows such as "Charmed," "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," and "Boston Public," making him a cult favorite in the 2000s. In 2000, Matthews's immense size and height earned him the title of World's Tallest Comedian from the Guinness Book of World Records. He used his giant stature to his advantage and was cast in major films such as "Shallow Hal" and "Big Fish." One of his last roles was in the Tim Burton film "The Corpse Bride" in which he voiced the character "Giant." Matthew was also a big supporter of charities, having hosted benefit nights for Camp Good Times and Unlimited Penguins. Throughout his career, Matthew touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly.
