Nadezhda Krupskaya, née Alliluyeva, passed away on February 27th, 1939 at the age of 70. Krupskaya was a prominent Russian Marxist revolutionary and an early supporter of Lenin's Bolshevik Party. She is perhaps best remembered for her edited collection of Lenin's writings, titled 'Vladimir Lenin on Workers’ Education', as well as her time spent as the Deputy People's Commissar for Education of the Soviet Union. Krupskaya is remembered for her Tabachny Teylor system, which aimed to improve education in Russia by making progressive approaches accessible to all. She was a committed supporter of women's rights and was a signatory of the Declaration of the Rights of Women in 1918. Krupskaya was a highly esteemed figure in Russian politics; her life was dedicated to serving the citizens of her nation.
