Nick Menza, 1951 - 2016 Nick Menza, legendary drummer for thrash metal band Megadeth, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2016. He was 51 years old. Nick's career as a drummer spanned nearly three decades, during which his drumming could be heard on nine Megadeth albums, three of which went platinum. His memorable time with the band included winning four Grammy Award nominations, performing numerous sold-out concerts, and being part of Megadeth's induction into the Hollywood Rock Walk of Fame in 2007. Nick also had a successful solo career, releasing the solo album Life After Deth in 2008. Nick is survived by his children, Dylan and Rachel, and his brother Patrick. He will be deeply missed by legions of devoted music fans.
