Paul Orndorff, WHW Hall of Fame wrestler and actor, passed away on July 12, 2021 at the age of 71. Paul was born Pernell Von Orndorff on May 28, 1950 to parents, Naomi and Paul. He was best known as "Mr. Wonderful" in the WWE (formerly WWF). He was an NCAA All-American at the University of Florida and was the first runner-up in the 1972 Olympic trials. Paul established his wrestling career in the 1970s in several organizations, and eventually became a champion in Mid-South Wrestling and the NWA. His most notable accomplishment was winning the first Wrestlemania alongside Hulk Hogan in 1985, where he famously bodyslammed André the Giant. His professional wrestling career gave him an introduction to acting with parts in several movies and television shows, including a recurring role as Ed in WCW. Throughout his life, he was dedicated to physical fitness, weightlifting, and healthy living. Paul is survived by his two sons, Paul Jr. and Kenn Allen Orndorff. Paul Orndorff was remembered as a legend in the world of wrestling and entertainment, and will be dearly missed.
