Author and philosopher Philip K. Dick died on March 2, 1982, at the age of 53. Dick wrote more than 44 novels and 121 short stories, and his work has been translated into 24 languages. He is best known for his novels "The Man in the High Castle" and "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" which were adapted into movies.
