Pietro Bestetti
Italian cyclist (1898-1936).
Born December 12th, 1898 in Pioltello.
Died January 3rd, 1936 at 37 years old in Milan.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the leader of the Transcendental Meditation movement, died on February 5, 2008 at the age of 90. Born in India in 1918, he developed the meditation technique in 1955 and established the organization in the 1960s. Mahesh Yogi spent much of his life advocating for his spiritual teachings. He authored numerous books, gave numerous talks around the world, and was often featured in the media. He was also known for introducing transcendental meditation to celebrities such as The Beatles. His impact on spirituality around the world was highly influential and will be remembered for years to come. He is survived by the many millions of TM practitioners who have benefited from his teachings.
