Rajneesh, an Indian mystic spiritual teacher and leader of an international following, passed away on January 19th, 1990 at the age of 58. He was born in 1931, in Kuchwada of the Madhya Pradesh state in central India. Rajneesh was an influential spiritual figure and guru, who became popular as the leader of a controversial movement in the 1980s. He preached an eclectic blend of Eastern and Western philosophies that had an impact on many people. Rajneesh was known for his creativity and expression, as well as his provocative discourses and lectures. Through his teachings, Rajneesh became admired across the world, with over 100 meditation centers in over 60 countries. He was the author of more than 600 books, which taught about meditation, awareness, faith, and love. Rajneesh’s life and work will remain with his followers and remembered by all those who were touched by his teachings.
