On September 21, 2022, Raju Srivastav, 58, peacefully passed away. Raju was an Indian stand-up comedian, television actor, and movie actor. He is best remembered for his various comic characters including Gajodhar, Pappu, Nandu, and Raju Shrivastav. Raju began his career as a stand-up comic in the 1980s, and soon became one of the most popular comedians on the Indian comedy circuit, renowned for his jovial style and witty puns. He was also lauded for his ability to improvise and create new characters on the spot. His popularity soared to greater heights when he joined the TV comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2004. He soon became a household name through his memorable appearances on TV shows such as The Kapil Sharma Show. Raju's ability to bring laughter to people and light up their lives will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife, Shikha Joshi, and their two children.
