It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Randy Savage, a professional wrestler beloved by millions of fans around the world. Randy Savage, born on November 15, 1952 as Randall Mario Poffo, tragically passed away on May 20, 2011 at the age of 58. His illustrious wrestling career spanned from 1973 to 2004 when he retired. He is best known for his time at the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and later at World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Throughout his career, Randy Savage held many titles, including Intercontinental Championship, two-time WWF Champion, and four-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion. His colorful ring persona of “Macho Man”, accompanied by his signature catchphrase, “Oooh yeah!”, captivated audiences and made him an icon of professional wrestling. His life and career will live on with countless memories, and he is survived by his two children and grandchildren.
