It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Reginald Dyer on July 23, 1927 at the age of 62. Reginald was born in Bangalore, India, a member of the British Indian Army. Reginald was widely known for his prolonged and controversial term as a Brigadier General during the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar, India. During this time, he was responsible for implementing martial law and overseeing the confinement of natives in the Punjab. He will be remembered for the lasting effect of sadly implementing the massacre and its aftermath. Reginald will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
