Maurizio D’Ancora, 70, passed away on May 15, 1983. Born in Italy in 1913, Maurizio D’Ancora lived a life marked by an unwavering commitment to his family, faith and community. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, whose influence can be seen in his many descendents around the world. Maurizio was known to his friends and family as a brilliant scholar and artist, with deep interests in science, literature, music and fine cuisine. He emigrated to the United States in 1940, and eventually made his home in New York City. Throughout his life, Maurizio was an active member of his local Catholic parish, and was often seen at Mass, Masses special occasions and retreats. Maurizio’s legacy will live on through the lives of his family and friends, many of whom he mentored throughout his life. He will be dearly missed.
