Sarah Churchill, an actress and political activist, passed away on September 24, 1982 at the age of 67. Born in 1915 to Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Clementine Churchill, Sarah Churchill developed an early love of performing in the theatre. She quickly became a renowned actress and appeared in such films as The Governess, Easy Virtue, The Tower of Terror, and The Haunted Strangler. In addition to her career on screen, Sarah was an outspoken political activist and a strong advocate for social justice. She was an outspoken supporter of a number of causes including nuclear disarmament, environmental protection, and women’s rights. Sarah Churchill touched many lives with her work and her passion for social justice will live on in her memory. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Head, and their son, Winston Head.
