She was a self-proclaimed psychic and medium, and most famous for her frequent appearances on Larry King Live and The Montel Williams Show. Her books, including “The Other Side and Back,” frequently found their way to the top of the New York Times Bestseller lists. Sylvia devoted her life to helping people work through their personal problems and find peace through spiritual connections. She was a leader of the Sylvia Browne Corporation, which provides spiritual healing, and even created her own religion, the Society of Novus Spiritus. Her work as a spiritual leader was widely recognized. She appeared on numerous television and radio programs, was awarded the National Town Watch Award for her service to the community, and was recognized with honorary degrees from numerous organizations. Sylvia will be remembered for her generosity, her passion for spiritual healing, and her contribution to the optimistic view of the afterlife she inspired in millions of people around the world.
