Thomas "Tom" Seaver (November 17, 1944 - August 31, 2020) passed away on August 31, 2020, at the age of 75. Tom was born in Fresno, California to Betty Lee and Charles Henry Seaver, and grew up in Fresno and Fresno's neighboring town of Sparta. His passion for baseball began at Fresno High School, where he was a three-sport athlete. He went on to win several titles, including three NL Cy Young Awards, 12 All-Star selections, a World Series championship with the New York Mets in 1969, three 20-win seasons, and several MLB records. During his illustrious career, Seaver was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992. Following his retirement from the field, he was inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame and made the All-Century Team. Tom is survived by his wife of 51 years Nancy, daughters Anne and Sarah, son Thomas (T.J.), and four grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
