Denise Matthew, better known by her stage name Vanity, died on February 15, 2016, at the age of 57. Starting her career in the music industry as a protégé of music legend Prince, Vanity went on to become an internationally known songstress and actress. Vanity's career included not only singing and acting, but also writing, producing, and modeling. She performed in numerous bands and film and television roles, even appearing in an iconic scene in the cult classic film Beverly Hills Cop II. This Canadian-born artist is remembered for her many creative accomplishments, such as her multi-platinum music career, and the many magazine covers featuring this talented and captivating woman. Vanity is survived by her 4 siblings and other relatives.
