Alice Hathaway Lee Roosevelt passed away on February 14, 1884 at the age of 22. Born in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of George Cabot Lee and Caroline Haskell Lee. She graduated from the Abbot Academy in 1882 and married President Theodore Roosevelt on October 27, 1880. Alice and Theodore had one daughter, Alice Lee Roosevelt. Alice was known to be well-educated, witty, and kind-hearted and was beloved by all who knew her. She had an affinity for literature and music, and was deeply committed to her family. Alice was laid to rest in the Lee family plot in Massachusetts. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those she left behind, and her legacy will remain forever.
