Joseph R. “Beau” Biden III passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at the age of 46. Beau was born on February 3, 1969, in Wilmington, Delaware, and was the eldest son of former Vice President Joe Biden. He was a practicing lawyer, having graduated from Syracuse University College of Law. Beau learned the legal craft from his father, and later followed in his footsteps to become the Attorney General of Delaware, a position he held between 2007 and 2015. Beau was a devoted husband and father of two children, Natalie and Hunter. He was an active community member who dedicated his time to several charitable organizations. The Biden family expresses their gratitude for all the prayers and support they’ve received since learning of Beau’s passing. His memory will live on in those he touched during his lifetime.
