Brian Epstein, who first rose to fame as the manager of the Beatles, died unexpectedly on August 27th, 1967, at the age of 32. During their early career, Brian was integral to the success of the Beatles, having negotiated their recording contracts and appearance fees, and managing their climb to international fame. His flashy wardrobe and meticulously managed image and marketing of the band helped to further skyrocket their popularity with fans across the globe. Beyond the Beatles, Brian also had successes as a promoter and businessman. He opened up the Cavern Club, a popular Liverpool venue, and managed other successful musical acts such as Gerry and the Pacemakers, Billy J. Kramer, and Cilla Black. Brian's contribution to music and business will not be forgotten and legacy lives on today. He will be missed dearly.
