Carl Reiner, beloved actor, writer, director, and producer, passed away on June 29, 2020 at the age of 98. Carl was born in the Bronx, New York on March20, 1922. He served in the US Army during World War II. After the war, he was a member of the Groundlings comedy group and soon began to act in stage musicals and in television. In 1961, Carl created, wrote, and produced the television series "The Dick Van Dyke Show" for which he won several Emmy awards. He went on to write, direct, and act in several movies and TV shows, including "Ocean's 11," "The Jerk," "The Twlight Zone," "The Dick Van Dyke Show Revisited," and "2000 Year Old Man." Carl had a career that spanned more than seven decades. He was beloved in the entertainment industry and his legacy will be remembered for years to come. Carl is preceded in death by his wife, Estelle; and his son, actor/director Rob Reiner. He is survived by his son, Lucas Reiner; daughter, Annie Reiner; and five grandchildren.
