He was born on October 2, 1948 in Biloxi, Mississippi and grew up in Texas and Cheyenne, Wyoming. LeDoux had a deep love for music from a young age and pursued it throughout his life. In his early career, LeDoux worked as a bareback rider on the rodeo circuit and often played his music at rodeo events. His unique blend of country and rock music gained him a loyal following and he eventually signed with Capitol Records in 1971, releasing his first album, "Life As A Rodeo Man." Throughout his career, LeDoux released 36 albums, including hit songs such as "Whatcha Gonna Do With A Cowboy" and "Tougher Than The Rest." He also collaborated with other notable artists, including Garth Brooks and Charlie Daniels. Aside from his successful music career, LeDoux was also a talented artist and author. He released several books and paintings, showcasing his love for the western lifestyle and cowboy culture. LeDoux's contributions to the music industry and the rodeo community will not be forgotten. He was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 2005 and received numerous awards for his music, including a Grammy nomination. He is survived by his wife Peggy and their five children.
