On December 4, 2017, Christine Keeler died at the age of 75. Born in 1942, she grew up in Uxbridge, England, and later moved to London with her father at the age of 15. Keeler was best known for her involvement in the Profumo Affair, a scandalous political scandal during the early 1960s in Britain. Her involvement in the affair as a model and showgirl sparked public outcry and led to the downfall of the British government. Despite the notoriety of the affair and its aftermath, Christine Keeler led a widespread life, setting up a number of charities in her later years and working as a campaigner for various causes. She was also the author of three books. Christine Keeler passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her three children and her grandchildren.
