It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Conchata Ferrell, an esteemed actress known for her role as Berta the housekeeper in the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. She passed away on October 12, 2020 at the age of 77, surrounded by family and friends. Born on March 28, 1943 in Loudendale, West Virginia, Ferrell was an accomplished character actress. She began her career in theatre, appearing in a variety of productions before moving to film and television. She starred in movies such as Edward Scissorhands, Mystic River, and Erin Brockovich, and had a number of roles on television. She was most known for her role as Berta on Two and a Half Men, for which she received two Emmy Award nominations, earning a Critics' Choice television award in 2005. Ferrell was active until the end, and her legacy will live on in her voice work, her generous spirit, and her unforgettable laughter. Rest in peace, Conchata Ferrell.
