It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diana Rigg, who died peacefully at the age of 82 on 2020-09-10 00:00:00 UTC. Diana was an award-winning British actress who had a career spanning six decades. She was well-known for her iconic portrayals of the secret agent Emma Peel in the 1960s TV series The Avengers, Lady Holiday in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and Olenna Tyrell in HBO's Game of Thrones. Her many stage credits included playing Medea and Madame de Volanges in Les Liaisons Dangereuses. She was appointed a Dame of the British Empire in 1994 in recognition of her services to drama. She is survived by her daughter, actress Rachael Stirling. Diana will be remembered for her immense talent, fearless performances, wit and charm. Her indomitable spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
