Frank Sinatra Jr., beloved son of music legend Frank Sinatra and his first wife Nancy Barbato, died on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the age of 72. Frank Jr. was born on January 10, 1944, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He enjoyed a successful musical career of his own, beginning with his first recording in 1961. Throughout his career, he performed music in numerous venues including the Moulin Rouge in France, the Riviera in Las Vegas, the Copacabana in New York City and the Apollo Theater in London. Frank Jr. released several albums, including his most notable album, That Face. His one-man show was a great favorite among audiences and featured songs from the Great American Songbook. Frank Jr. is survived by his mother, Nancy Barbato Sinatra, his sister, Nancy Sinatra, and his brother, former congressman Frank Sinatra Jr. He is also survived by his children Michael, Amanda and Gina Sinatra, six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. His funeral will be held in Palm Springs, California. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Frank Sinatra Jr. Music Education Fund or to the Sinatra Family charities of your choice. Frank Jr. will be remembered as a loving family man, a great entertainer and a captivating singer. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
