Garry Marshall, beloved television and film writer, director and actor passed away at the age of 81 on Tuesday July 19th, 2016. A prolific television and film writer and director from the golden age of television, he created some of the most notable sitcoms including Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, and The Odd Couple. Garry also was the writer and/or director for classic 80s and 90s films such as Pretty Woman, Overboard, Runaway Bride, and Beaches. His writing and directing prowess spawned some of the most memorable scenes of all time. Apart from his writing and directing, Garry also had notable acting roles in films such as Soapdish, Dear God, Exit to Eden and New Year's Eve. Garry was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He will always be remembered as an outstanding talent and a courageous trailblazer in the television and film industry.
